Started with a good stack of 8/4 rustic cherry and was able to end up at 1-7/8” thickness. This table is sturdy!

All dowel joints, no screws. A thick chamfer on the inside edge of the profile softens the rectangular shape. Edges were sanded by hand - this felt like a better look with the rustic lumber than a perfect round-over with the router.

The table is an attractive centerpiece with the glass inlay, and the end tables will be finished soon.
